This place gets all 5 stars hands down. My family was traveling through Gallup from Grand Canyon and we were looking for place for dinner. Chose this place based on reviews and them being open till 9PM. Family of 5 and $57? Where can you get a better deal? Large portions, food was prepared quickly. Super welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. If I’ll be in Gallup again in future, this place will be on my must list. I did see in reviews about lady selling jewelries and experienced exactly that but it didn’t really bother me, though, it was strange

Comforting, simple New Mexican favorites in a relaxed atmosphere - at a great price. Definitely a better option than the chains that dominate the areas near hotels. Pro-tip: if the server tells you the green chile is spicy, she’s not lying. It’s legit. We had a smattering of usual suspects including stuffed sopapilla, fry bread taco, tamales, enchildas and a chimichanga. They were all prepared nicely and reminiscent of our favorite spots back in AZ. The chiles were the star of the show. The red was slightly smoky and savory with just. a little spice. The green stung a bit, but had a great, fresh flavor that made you go back more despite the pain. Service was pleasant and efficient all-around. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed with a spacious, open dining room. Prices harken back to pre-inflation days. Overall, this place is a great value and a delicious local option.

While my order was for take out, I was so impressed with the attention given to me and the others placing similar orders. The food truly is a taste of the southwest and the atmosphere was filled with happy, local customers who clearly enjoy the authenticity of their meals.

Delicious combo plate! Both the red and green salsa were spicy. Waitress kept our drinks filled and can around to check on our party at the perfect interval of time. My only issue was the Spanish rice. Needed a few pieces of green chilies, onion and diced tomatoes. Other than that, yumm!
